You’ve done the newborn thing before.

You know about the tiny clothes, the late-night feedings, and the endless diapers.

But this time, something is different.

You’re not just bringing home a baby. You’re growing the family you already have.

And while welcoming another baby can be filled with excitement and anticipation, it can also bring questions, big feelings, unexpected challenges, and a whole new family dynamic.

How do I prepare my child for the baby?

What if they suddenly need me more than ever?

How do I make space for the new baby without making my older child feel pushed aside?

What will those first few weeks at home really look like?

The Sibling Shift is a one-time, 90-minute workshop designed to help parents prepare their family for the transition to siblinghood with confidence, intention, and realistic expectations.

Led by Lindsey Ryan, this interactive workshop combines practical guidance, parent coaching, and guided discussion to help you anticipate common challenges, support your older child through the transition, and feel more prepared for life with a growing family.

Whether this is your second, third, or fourth baby, adding another child changes the rhythm of the entire family. Together, we’ll explore what you can do before baby arrives, what to expect when everyone is adjusting, and how to nurture your connection with your older child while caring for a newborn.

A Workshop Just for Mamas

This workshop is designed for mamas only. It’s an opportunity to step away from the busyness of family life, connect with other moms preparing to welcome another baby, ask questions, and focus on the transition ahead. Older siblings will not attend, giving you space to learn, reflect, and prepare for this next chapter.

What we will cover:

BEFORE BABY ARRIVES

Preparing your older child emotionally and practically through age-appropriate conversations, books, activities, and simple ways to help them feel included in the changes ahead.

WHEN BABY COMES HOME

Navigating jealousy, regression, attention-seeking, and big feelings while setting realistic expectations for the early weeks and helping your older child adjust to sharing your attention.

FINDING YOUR NEW FAMILY RHYTHM

Protecting one-on-one connection, creating meaningful moments with your older child, supporting the emerging sibling relationship, and finding small, sustainable ways to help everyone feel secure and connected as your family grows.

WHAT YOU’LL WALK AWAY WITH

  • A better understanding of how your older child may experience this transition.

  • Practical strategies to prepare your child for the baby's arrival.

  • Tools for navigating common challenges and big emotions.

  • Realistic ways to maintain connection with your older child during the newborn stage.

  • Greater confidence as you prepare for life with your growing family.

A Little Reassurance

You don’t need to make the transition perfect.

You need to know what to expect, have a few tools in your back pocket, and feel more confident navigating the moments that don’t go according to plan.

Come prepare for the baby you’re welcoming while continuing to care for the child who is already yours.
