WHAT IS PARENT COACHING?

Parent coaching is about having someone in your corner as you navigate the everyday joys and challenges of raising kids. It’s not about perfection, following a list of “shoulds,” or becoming a different kind of parent. It’s about understanding your child, reconnecting with what matters to you as a parent, and finding practical tools that work for your family.

Together, we’ll look at what’s happening, what may be getting in the way, and what you’d like to change. We’ll work through things like big emotions, challenging behaviors, boundaries, communication, routines, and the many transitions that come with parenting.

My approach is rooted in research, Positive Discipline principles, and real-life parenting experience. We’ll build on the strengths your family already has, figure out what works for you, and make changes that feel realistic for your everyday life.

Because parenting isn’t about getting it perfect. It’s about learning, growing, and showing up with connection, confidence, and grace.

WHY WORK WITH A PARENT COACH?

A parent coach provides a supportive, judgment-free space to navigate the everyday challenges of parenting with greater clarity and confidence. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening, build on your strengths, and create practical strategies that align with your values and your family’s unique needs.

Whether you’re navigating big emotions, behavior challenges, boundaries, communication, routines, digital device use, sibling dynamics, co-parenting, or major family transitions, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

I’ll be your sounding board, guide, and resource, offering evidence-based strategies and practical tools you can use in real life. We’ll focus not only on supporting your child, but also on helping you feel more confident, connected, and supported along the way.

Parent coaching isn’t about telling you how to parent. It’s about helping you find what works for your family.

IS PARENT COACHING RIGHT FOR YOU?

Parent coaching may be a good fit if you find yourself thinking:

“I know how I want to parent, but I’m struggling to make it happen in the moment.”

“We keep getting stuck in the same battles.”

“I understand what my child needs, but I’m not sure what to do next.”

“I want to set boundaries without constantly feeling like I’m fighting with my child.”

“I want to feel more confident in how I respond.”

“I just wish I had someone in my corner.”

You don’t need to be at a breaking point to benefit from parent coaching. Sometimes having support early can make the hard seasons feel much more manageable.

My Parent Coaching Model

Parenting challenges rarely have quick fixes, and meaningful change takes time. Most families work with me for 7–10 sessions, usually meeting weekly or every other week. This gives us the time and space to understand what’s going on, try new approaches, see what works, and make adjustments along the way.

Together, we’ll explore your family’s strengths, identify your goals, understand the patterns that may be making things harder, and develop practical strategies that fit your family and parenting style.

Between sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to try new tools and reflect on what you’re noticing at home. We’ll use those experiences to continue refining your approach and building your confidence.

My goal isn’t to give you a script to follow. It’s to help you build the confidence, understanding, and skills to navigate parenting challenges in a way that feels right for your family.

what to expect with parent coaching

We’ll meet for 50-min virtual sessions, typically weekly or every other week.

We’ll begin by exploring what brought you to coaching, your family’s strengths, your child’s unique needs, and the patterns that may be impacting your day-to-day experience.

As we continue, we’ll identify your goals and create realistic strategies to help you get there. We’ll reflect on what you’re noticing at home, troubleshoot challenges, and adjust our approach as needed.

In our final sessions, we’ll reflect on your progress, celebrate your growth, and identify the strategies that have made the biggest impact so you feel confident continuing forward.

Typical commitment: 7–10 sessions | 50-min virtual sessions | Weekly or every other week

  • I feel like I can clearly see my North Star after working with Lindsey.  Her approach to coaching helped me recognize the foundational issues I wanted to work on and what were merely symptoms of those issues.  Her thoughtful questions helped me develop an idea of what to do and ensured I had an executable plan to achieve my various goals.  Through sharing observations and reflecting back to me what I was saying, Lindsey helped me clarify my values and priorities, and she was a safe space as I explored how to create boundaries that were in alignment with them.  The shift in mindset and perspective that I made working with Lindsey will continue to have a positive impact long after the coaching series has ended.
